Public testimonials are customer comments or ratings that can be used on customer-facing surfaces after review.
Use this article when you are deciding which feedback is appropriate to show publicly.
Public feedback vs private feedback#
Public feedback is intended for outside readers.
Private feedback is for the business, teacher, or internal team. Keep it private unless the customer clearly agrees to public use.
See Private Feedback.
Where public feedback appears#
Public feedback can be connected to:
- Teacher profiles
- Customer-facing profile pages
- Testimonial or review surfaces
- Internal review counts in Admin
The exact display depends on your business setup and what has been approved.
Review before approving#
Before approving feedback, check:
- Is the comment clearly about your business, class, or teacher?
- Does it include private information that should not be public?
- Is the language suitable for a public page?
- Is the feedback type public, not private?
- Does the comment need follow-up before publishing?
What not to publish#
Do not publish:
- Health details or sensitive personal information
- Private complaints
- Comments about another customer
- Anything that was submitted as private feedback
- Feedback that requires a support response first
Use testimonials responsibly#
Good testimonials are specific and honest. A short comment about a teacher, class format, or customer experience is more useful than generic praise.
