The Email Designer uses AI to help you create professional marketing emails. Describe what you want, iterate with the assistant, add images, and preview across devices - all without touching code.
Creating emails with AI#
Go to Admin > Marketing > Email Designer to open a new design session. The chat interface on the left lets you work with the AI assistant. The preview panel on the right shows your email as you build it.
Start by describing your email: "Create a promotional email for our spring yoga intensive" or "Design a weekly newsletter with class highlights." The AI generates a complete email layout including headers, text sections, buttons, and styling that matches your studio's brand.
Working with the assistant#
Each design session is a conversation. Ask for changes: "Make the header image taller" or "Add a section for customer testimonials." The AI updates your design and explains what changed.
The assistant remembers context from earlier in the conversation, so you can refine iteratively. If something isn't quite right, describe what you want changed and the assistant will adjust it.
Example prompts that work well#
- "Create a welcome email for new customers with our class schedule"
- "Design a promotion for 20% off all class packages this weekend"
- "Make a newsletter template with sections for featured classes and instructor spotlight"
- "Add a prominent call-to-action button that says 'Book Your Spot'"
- "Change the color scheme to use warmer tones"
Adding images#
Click the image icon in the chat input area to access your studio's image library. Select images you've previously uploaded or upload new ones. The AI can incorporate these images into your email design.
Images in your library stay available across sessions, so build up a collection of your studio photos, instructor headshots, and promotional graphics.
To delete images you no longer need, hover over them in the library view and click the trash icon.
Preview modes#
Switch between desktop and mobile preview using the toggle in the preview header. Most customers read emails on mobile, so check both views before sending.
Desktop preview shows the full-width email layout as it appears in email clients like Gmail or Outlook on computers.
Mobile preview displays the responsive mobile view at a typical phone width. Text should be readable, images should scale appropriately, and buttons should be easy to tap.
Code view for advanced users#
Click the code icon to see and edit the HTML directly. This is useful if you want to make precise adjustments or add custom elements. Switch back to preview mode to see your changes rendered.
Changes you make in code view are preserved, but asking the AI for further changes may overwrite manual edits.
Saving templates#
When your email looks good, click Save in the top right. Give your template a descriptive name like "Weekly Newsletter" or "Spring Intensive Promo." The template saves to your library where you can reuse it for future campaigns.
Saved templates appear in Admin > Marketing > Templates where you can edit, duplicate, or archive them.
Sending test emails#
Before sending to customers, send yourself a test. Click Send Test in the top right, enter your email address, and check how the email looks in your actual inbox. Test emails help catch formatting issues or typos you might miss in preview.
You can send tests to up to 10 addresses at once, which is useful for getting team feedback before a major campaign.
Tips for better emails#
Keep it focused: Each email should have one main message or call to action. Multiple competing messages dilute effectiveness.
Use clear subject lines: The AI generates suggested subject lines, but customize them to match your voice and grab attention.
Test on mobile: More than half of emails are read on phones. Always check the mobile preview.
Brand consistency: The AI learns your studio's colors and style from your brand configuration. Set this up in Admin > Marketing > Brand Vibe for consistent designs.
Chat history#
Each design session is saved automatically. Click the history icon to see past conversations and load previous designs. This is helpful when you want to create variations of earlier campaigns or reference old designs.
Sessions are titled automatically based on your conversation, but you can rename them for easier organization.
