Use this article when you need to give someone access to your studio. This replaces the older "Add New Teacher" workflow as the main onboarding path.
Start from the Staff workspace#
- Open Admin > Staff from the People section of the sidebar.
- Click Add Staff.
- Enter the person's email address.
- Select the roles they should receive when they accept.
- Click Send invitation.
This works for new hires, contractors, and anyone who needs studio access for the first time.
What happens after you send the invite#
Naayya emails the invitation automatically. The person accepts by signing in or creating an account with that same email address.
Their roles are applied as soon as they accept.
If they are going to teach classes, they can then open the teaching workspace and complete their public profile there.
Use Pending Invites to follow up#
The Pending Invites section on the Staff page is the operational follow-up surface.
Use it to:
- Copy link and send the invite manually in another channel
- Revoke an invite that should no longer work
- Send invite for an unlinked teaching profile that already exists in your studio data
This is especially useful when someone has already been scheduled to teach but has not yet completed account setup.
If the person already exists in your records#
If someone already exists in your studio records and only needs a role assignment, open Admin > Settings > Staff and use Add existing staff there.
That settings page still handles direct role assignment for people who are already in Naayya. The top-level Staff workspace is the best starting point for new invites and invite follow-up.
If the person will teach classes#
Teaching access and profile setup are related, but they are not the same step.
- Staff access is granted from Admin > Staff
- Teaching profile management lives in Admin > Teaching Operations
- Profile completion happens from the teaching workspace after the person signs in
See Public Profiles for Staff Who Teach for the banner and completion rules that staff will see after they accept.
