Attendance rate shows how many booked customers actually attended.
Use it to separate demand from follow-through. A class can have strong bookings and still need attention if many customers cancel or no-show.
Where attendance is tracked#
Attendance is managed from:
- Teacher > Schedule for teachers marking attendance
- Class and booking views in Admin
- Customer detail pages for individual customer patterns
- Teacher stats for teacher-level summaries
- Payroll calculations when attendance affects pay
How to read attendance#
Common statuses include:
- Confirmed: the customer is booked
- Attended: the customer came to class
- No-show: the customer did not attend
- Cancelled: the booking was cancelled before attendance was marked
Attendance rate usually compares attended bookings with the bookings that should be counted for the class or period.
What to check first#
When attendance looks wrong, check:
- The class date and time.
- Whether attendance has been marked.
- Whether cancellations should be excluded from the comparison.
- Whether the customer was booked as a profile or guest.
- Whether a teacher substitution changed who sees the class.
Use attendance in decisions#
Attendance data helps with:
- Spotting customers who may need reminders or follow-up
- Reviewing classes with high no-show rates
- Understanding whether a timetable is working
- Checking whether cancellation policies need adjustment
- Supporting payroll when attendance affects compensation
Do not treat one missed class as a retention signal by itself. Look for repeated patterns.
