Naayya groups what you run into three offerings: Classes, Services and Programs. In Admin > Settings > Offerings you choose which of them your business uses. An offering that is switched off leaves the sidebar, the command palette and the New offering menu, so your team sees only what you run.
Only owners and managers can change these switches. Other staff do not see Offerings in Settings.
A switch only changes what your team sees in Admin. It does not delete, archive or unpublish anything, and the offering's pages still open if you follow a link to them.
What each offering covers#
| Offering | What it covers | Where you manage it |
|---|---|---|
| Classes | Group sessions people book a place in: classes, workshops and courses | Admin > Classes |
| Services | Appointments, and court or room hire, that people book at a time that suits them | Admin > Services |
| Programs | Programs that bundle classes with pricing and payment options, and the list of everyone enrolled | Admin > Programs |
Switch an offering on or off#
- Go to Admin > Settings > Offerings and open the page for the offering: Classes, Services or Programs.
- Turn Enable Classes on or off. On the other pages the switch reads Enable Services or Enable Programs.
- Naayya confirms with a message such as Classes off, and the sidebar follows.
Each page also has a Manage classes row, or Manage services or Manage programs. It opens the list and shows how many items are live, for example 3 live.
What changes when an offering is off#
- Sidebar. The offering's entry is hidden.
- Command palette. The offering's entry no longer appears in the results. The three settings pages still appear, as Classes settings, Services settings and Programs settings.
- New offering. The button on the calendar and the dashboard offers Class, Workshop and Course only while Classes is on, and Service only while Services is on. When both are off, owners and managers see No offerings are switched on yet. and a More offerings in Settings link at the bottom of the menu, which opens Settings > Offerings. Other staff see No offerings are switched on. Ask an owner or manager to switch some on.
Switch an offering off#
You can switch an offering off only when nothing in it is live. Live means not archived, so drafts count. If anything is live, the switch stays on and the page tells you what to do, for example Archive your 3 live services first, then switch Services off. The Manage row shows how many are still live.
- Archive everything that is live:
- Classes: archive each class, whatever its type. A class that a program sells is archived with its program. See Archiving a class series.
- Services: on Admin > Services, open the service's row action menu and select Archive.
- Programs: on Admin > Programs, open the program's row action menu and select Archive. A program can be archived only when nobody has an upcoming booking, waitlist entry or enrollment in it. See A class that a program sells.
- Return to Admin > Settings > Offerings and open the offering's page. The Manage row should read 0 live.
- Turn the switch off.
Archived items stay in their Archived list, and you can restore them.
Offerings switch on when you add to them#
Naayya switches an offering on when you add something to it, so your work never sits behind a switch that is off.
- Creating a class, a service or a program switches on Classes, Services or Programs.
- Restoring an archived class, service or program does the same.
- Creating a course, or changing a class into a course, also switches Programs on, as does a new enrollment. Enrollments are listed under Programs.
Naayya never switches an offering off for you.
What a new business starts with#
The last step of sign-up asks What do customers book with you? The answer decides which offerings start on.
| Customers book | Naayya switches on |
|---|---|
| A place in a class | Classes |
| A course or term they enroll in | Classes and Programs |
| A court, lane or room | Services |
| Time with a practitioner | Services |
| Gym access or check-in | Classes |
If you choose more than one answer, Naayya switches on everything they need. An offering that no answer needs starts off. If you skip the question, the business starts with Classes and Services on and Programs off. See When you sign up.
You can switch any offering on later in Admin > Settings > Offerings.
A business that existed before these switches kept everything it used. Each offering started on if the business had ever had something in it, archived items included. A course or an enrollment counts as using Programs.
Programs and the Enrollments tab#
Enrollments is a tab inside Programs, not a sidebar entry of its own. If Programs is off, the Programs entry is hidden from the sidebar, and the tab with it.
Staff with the Manage Bookings permission reach Enrollments through the Programs entry. While Programs is off, they need the link /admin/programs?tab=enrollments, or an owner or manager to switch Programs on. See Find who is enrolled.
If an offering is missing from your sidebar#
- Ask an owner or manager to open Admin > Settings > Offerings and check that the offering's switch is on.
- If it is on and you still cannot see it, your role may not include that area. See Roles & Permissions.
