Manage Attendance

Mark student attendance and add walk-in customers to your classes

Manage attendance#

After your class, you can mark which students attended and add any walk-in customers who joined without a booking.

Open the attendance drawer#

  1. Go to Schedule in your teacher dashboard
  2. Find the class you want to update
  3. Click the attendee count button (e.g., "5 students")

The attendance drawer opens showing all booked students.

Mark attendance#

For each student, you can set their attendance status:

  1. Find the student in the list
  2. Click the status dropdown or button next to their name
  3. Select one of:
    • Attended: Student came to class
    • No-show: Student didn't show up
    • Pending: Not yet recorded (default)

Changes save automatically.

Add a walk-in customer#

If someone attends without a prior booking:

  1. Open the attendance drawer for your class
  2. Click Add walk-in at the bottom
  3. Enter the customer's details:
    • Name (required)
    • Email (optional)
    • Phone (optional)
  4. Click Save

Walk-in customers appear in the attendance list marked as walk-ins.

When to mark attendance#

  • Mark attendance during or immediately after class while it's fresh
  • You can update attendance for past classes if needed
  • Accurate attendance helps with studio reporting and your pay calculations

Why attendance matters#

Your studio may use attendance data to:

  • Calculate your pay (some pay models are based on attendance)
  • Track class popularity and retention
  • Send follow-up communications to students

Keeping attendance records accurate benefits both you and the studio.
