    Teaching Philosophy

My name is Mélissa, I’m a native of Luxembourg and began my yoga journey in 2016. Captivated by the profound impact it had on my mind, body, and soul, I became eager to share this passion with others. I earned my first certification in 2020 and added a second one in 2023, specializing in the artful practice of Vinyasa.

I moved from Luxembourg in 2022to settle down in the beautiful country of Costa Rica. Since then, I am teaching in Tamarindo and I also have my own online movement platform where I teach live several times a week!

What’s your funniest or most unexpected moment while teaching a class?

You won’t believe it, but not long ago, I accidentally lit my hair on fire with a candle in front of my mat! No comments needed—it's just a wild story that I’ll keep sharing with a sense of humor.

What’s your go-to pose when you need to recharge?

I absolutely love savasana! Funny enough, when I first started doing yoga, I was mainly interested in the physical challenge and would leave the yoga studio before savasana. Today, I can’t imagine skipping it; it’s truly the best part of the class!

What’s a habit or routine you can’t live without?

Movement, in general, is essential for me. It helps me process my thoughts, emotions, feelings, and doubts—movement is my medicine!

What’s your mantra or favorite quote to live by?

    "Be high on life!"

I like to guide my students through graceful, flowing yet dynamic sequences that harmonize breath and movement. My classes foster a tranquil environment for self-exploration and inner peace, promoting a strong connection between body and mind. I describe my flows as both sweet and spicy, ensuring you’ll encounter challenges in your physical practice while also learning to let go.

Do you play music during your classes?

Yes, I do play music during my classes, and I curate it with intention to align with my flows. The music sets the tone for a deep state of flow, where movement transcends the physical body!
