# Platform Overview

Naayya brings the daily work of a wellness business into one place: bookings, classes, appointments, products, payments, staff, customers, and client communication.

Use this article when you are orienting yourself before setting up the rest of your workspace.

## Who uses Naayya

### Owners and managers

Owners and managers work mainly in **Admin**. This is where you manage the business:

- Classes, appointments, and calendars
- Customers, leads, and segments
- Products, gift cards, discounts, and checkout settings
- Payments, reports, payroll, and contracts
- Locations, resources, staff access, notifications, and public website embeds

Your exact menu depends on your role, plan, and the type of business you run. For example, a business that only offers appointments may see fewer class tools.

### Staff

Staff members can be invited with the access they need for their job. Some staff may help with customers, bookings, POS, products, payroll, or settings. Staff who teach can also have a public teaching profile.

Start with [Staff Management](/help-center/staff) and [Roles & Permissions](/help-center/roles-permissions).

### Teachers

Teachers use the teacher workspace to see their schedule, view attendees, manage attendance, update their profile, and view payslips when payroll is used.

Start with [Teacher Dashboard Overview](/help-center/dashboard-overview).

### Customers

Customers use the public business pages and their account area to book classes or appointments, manage their bookings, view memberships and passes, update payment methods, use wallet or gift card balances, and review account settings.

Start with [Customer FAQ](/help-center/faq).

## Main areas of the product

### Scheduling

Use **Classes**, **Calendar**, **Services**, **Locations**, and **Resources** to define what customers can book and where it happens.

Class businesses usually start with [Creating Classes](/help-center/creating-events). Appointment businesses usually start with [Create Appointment Services](/help-center/appointment-services).

### Booking and attendance

Bookings can come from the public website, embedded schedule, customer account, admin booking tools, or POS. Attendance can be managed from the admin schedule stream, teacher schedule, and class views.

See [Customer Bookings](/help-center/bookings), [Waitlists for Classes](/help-center/waitlists), and [Manage Attendance](/help-center/managing-attendance).

### Products and checkout

Use the current **Admin > Products** navigation label for class and service access offers such as drop-ins, class packs, memberships, services, and service packs. On current customer pages, public **Pricing** lists passes and memberships when a business has published them. The current **Admin > Shop** navigation label leads to management of physical goods, and customers browse those goods in the Shop storefront. The current **Admin > Gift Cards** flow remains separate. Each area has its own settings for what customers can buy and book.

See [Product Types Overview](/help-center/products-overview) for the current offer types under **Admin > Products**.
See [Gift Cards](/help-center/gift-cards) for the separate gift-card setup and sales flow.

### Payments and reporting

Naayya supports online payments through the connected payment account, manual/offline payment records, POS sales, refunds, payouts, annual summaries, and payout reconciliation.

See [Set Up Get Paid](/help-center/get-paid-setup), [Payments](/help-center/payment-methods), and [Reports](/help-center/reports).

### Customers and growth

The Customers workspace has three main views: **Customers**, **Leads**, and **Segments**. Use it to find people, understand their activity, follow up, and keep customer records accurate.

See [Customer List](/help-center/customers-list), [Leads Management](/help-center/leads), and [Customer Segments](/help-center/customer-segments).

### Team and access

Use Staff and access settings to invite people, control permissions, and keep teaching profiles separate from admin access. A person can be a customer, staff member, teacher, or more than one of these.

See [People Overview](/help-center/people-overview) and [Access Control](/help-center/access-control).

## What to set up first

1. Confirm your business profile, timezone, currency, and public details.
2. Add locations and any resources that affect booking capacity.
3. Set up staff access for the people who need to help.
4. Create the first classes, appointment services, or both.
5. Create the products customers can buy.
6. Set up payments so you can get paid for bookings.
7. Review booking rules, cancellation policies, notifications, and website embeds.

You do not need to configure every advanced setting before taking the first booking. Start with the flows you use today, then add more controls as your operations need them.
