# Attendance Rates

Attendance is recorded on each booking. Use the session roster, the Admin
dashboard schedule, and customer details to compare bookings with attendance
after a class.

## Where attendance is tracked

You can review attendance from:

- **Admin dashboard** for past sessions that still need attendance marked
- **Admin > Classes** when you open a class instance and its roster
- **Teacher > Schedule** or **Staff > Schedule** for the Students drawer
- **Admin > Customers > [customer]** for class highlights and activity
- **Admin > Teachers > [teaching profile]** for teacher-level stats

## How to read attendance

The booking and attendance states are separate:

- **Confirmed**: the booking is in the session roster
- **Pending**: attendance has not been marked
- **Attended**: the customer came to class
- **No Show**: the customer did not attend
- **Cancelled**: the booking was cancelled; this is a booking state

On a confirmed booking, choose **Check-In** or **Mark attended**. After it is
marked, the action shows **Attended**. The exact button depends on whether you
are using the Admin roster or the Teacher or Staff Students drawer.

## What to check first

When attendance looks wrong, check:

1. The class date and time.
2. Whether the customer is in the confirmed roster.
3. Whether attendance is still pending or has been marked.
4. Whether the class appears as **Mark attendance** in the Admin dashboard schedule.
5. Whether you are viewing the correct business and customer.

## Use attendance in decisions

Attendance data helps with:

- Spotting customers who may need reminders or follow-up
- Reviewing classes with high no-show rates
- Understanding whether a timetable is working
- Comparing confirmed bookings with attended customers
- Finding repeat attendance patterns in customer details

Do not treat one missed class as a retention signal by itself. Look for repeated patterns.
